CLUB MARA RESORT
Summer Season Notice to Owners and Guests
June 24, 2026

As the summer season approaches, we would like to share some general reminders to help everyone have a safe, enjoyable, and responsible time at Club Mara Resort. We hope this season brings great memories for you and your guests.

The Marina is open daily from 9am-7pm
The clubhouse is open daily from 8am-10pm
Quiet hours are from 11pm - 7am

  1. Sewer System
  • Important Reminder: Only toilet paper and human waste should be flushed. Non-septic-friendly products can cause serious damage.
  • During Power Outages: Do not flush toilets as lift stations and potable water pumps will not operate. This may lead to raw sewage overflow.
  1. Water Conservation
  • Please take all reasonable steps to reduce water usage.
  • Use water-efficient or conservation devices when installing or replacing fixtures.

  1. Park Guests
  • A daily head count is required under CMR regulations.
  • Owners must complete the “Submit Guests/Visitors” form for all non-registered guests prior to their arrival, indicating occupancy and duration.
  • For lot and moorage rentals contact management@clubmara.ca for availability and rates.
  1. Lawn Cutting - Wednesdays
  • Wednesdays are designated for lawn maintenance (weather dependent).
  • Please remove toys, hoses, and other items to allow access for the maintenance crew.
  • Lawn cutting may occur in the mornings or evenings to avoid the afternoon heat.
  1. Park and Personal Safety
  • Follow all provincial fire restrictions. Check our website and clubhouse signage for updates.
  • Maintain hedges and trees to prevent fire hazards. Refer to the FireSmart BC Guide.
  • Keep a charged fire extinguisher visible and ready on your lot.
  • An AED is located outside the satellite washhouse for emergencies.
  • Speed limit in the park is 10 kph. Be cautious around blind corners and crosswalks.
  1. Garbage, Recycling & Yard Waste
  • Use blue dumpsters for household garbage only—do not dispose of BBQs, furniture, or construction debris. Local landfills in Sicamous and Salmon Arm
  • Use green dumpster for specific cardboard and plastics. See bin signage for more info. 
  • Bottles and cans go in the shed beside the dumpsters—proceeds support Social Committee events.
  • Compostable yard waste only is to be placed in the designated area behind the tennis courts.
  1. Electrical Sheds, Transformers & Septic Fields
  • Do not alter electrical sheds or landscape around BC Hydro transformers.
  • Septic fields must not be used for vehicle parking, except by onsite management with lightweight vehicles for empty trailers.
  1. Pool & Hot Tub
    Pool Season: May Long Weekend to Thanksgiving, Hot Tub: Open year-round
    Follow all posted rules. Closures will be marked with signs.
    Shower before use to help maintain water quality.
    Hours: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily

  2. Parking
    Effective June 25, 2026: No parking of cargo/utility trailers or storage units in overflow areas. Space is limited and needed for guest vehicles.
    Overflow parking is available near the main gate and by the tennis courts. Please refrain from parking on the roadways.  

  3. Stop Work for Summer
    As projects continue around the park, the BoD requests work is conducted between the hours of 9am and 6pm. With Canada Day being a mid-week stat, the decision was made to extent work time until end of day July 3rd, 2026. 

    Owners are advised that all construction and renovation projects that would cause any disruption to others are to conclude by 6pm Friday, July 3, 2026.

  4. Pets
    Dogs must always be leashed or contained on your lot.
    Clean up after your pet.
    Dogs may use the boat launch to cool off. They are not allowed on the beach, grassy beach areas, or near the satellite washhouse.
    Dogs are permitted on the south grass area near the electrical shed.
    All dogs must be registered with Club Mara using the “Pet Registry” form

  5. Water Equipment Use - Trampoline, Kayaks, Paddleboards, Pedal Boats
  • Use of the Water Trampoline, Kayaks, Paddleboards, and Pedal Boats is at your own risk.
  • All users must return kayaks and paddleboards (including paddles) to their designated storage sites after use.
  • Pedal boats must be pulled onto the beach and secured to the anchor system provided.
  • A marine surveillance system has been installed to monitor equipment use in line with Club Mara Resort Insurance Liability requirements. Signage is posted as a reminder.
  • All equipment must be inspected both before and after use.
  • Promptly report any damage or required repairs to Club Mara Resort Management.


    15. Marina 
  • The marina is open from 9am - 7pm for the season (May long-September 30) 
  • Marina staff will be on site as of June 26 and cubed ice, ice cream and other treats are stocked for your convenience and enjoyment. 
  • Owners are reminded that seasonal sales from the marina assist in lowering annual management fees for owners. Your business and support is appreciated.
